Second chance for architects - Kraljevo again invites bids for indoor swimming pool project

Kraljevo will again try to get a swimming pool. Although complete designs for an indoor swimming pool exist for several years, the Kraljevo Development Directorate has solicited bids for the design of a new project.

As they explain to us, the pool location has been changed. Goran Marenovic from the Directorate says that they want the future indoor swimming pool to be built right next to the new sports arena in that city.

According to the previous project, which eKapija wrote about back in 2010, the swimming pool was supposed to be situated in the vicinity of the only existing outdoor swimming pool in the very center of the city, next to Gradska Terasa (City Balcony).

The bid opening is scheduled for November 22nd. People at the Directorate say that there are already many interested architects.

Kraljevo has the population of about 150,000. There is a large number of children and young people engaged in water sports, who have so far been forced to practise in neighboring Vrnjacka Banja.
