Jones Lang LaSalle named exclusive agent for Delta Planet, biggest regional shopping mall situated in Serbia

The Delta Real Estate Group has appointed Jones Lang LaSalle as the exclusive agent in the commercialization process of Delta Planet, the largest shopping mall to be built in Belgrade.

Vojislav Glavinic, vice president at the Delta Real Estate Group, commented that the decision to appoint Jones Lang LaSalle as the exclusive agent of Delta Planet was based not only on the company’s strong expertise in the retail sector across the CEE region, but also excellent track record as far as shopping center leasing was concerned, and professional views.

- I am convinced that the synergy effect of this cooperation will guarantee an excellent result of the project for all parties, and, most particularly, for the future tenants of Delta Planet - said Vojislav Glavinic.

Beatrice Mouton, head of Retail at Jones Lang LaSalle CEE, noted that the combined experience of Delta Real Estate and Jones Lang LaSalle, together with the superior location of the site itself, made the deal one of the most exciting retail projects in Serbia and CEE in the next few years.

Upon completion in Autumn 2014/Spring 2015, the total space of Delta Planet will amount to 75,000 sqm GLA and the center will accommodate approximately 250 retail and service units, hypermarket spanning over 10,000 sqm and an extensive leisure & entertainment space, including an 18-screen MegaplexCineStarPlanet multiplex cinema with IMAX and Gold Class screens for the total of 3,300 cinema goers, as well as fitness facilities and children’s entertainment features. For the convenience of shoppers, the project will offer aboveground and underground parking, with 2,300 car spaces. The concept was created by renowned architect Amihud Moore and his studio MYS Architects.

Delta Planet will be located next to the E75 highway and at the Autokomanda roundabout, nearby Belgrade’s elite neighbourhood, only 5-10 minutes from downtown and close to a future metro station. It will be easily approachable by car and public transport, and it will benefit from the fact that over 1.6 million people live in a 15 minute driving radius of the site. Site itself will provide excellent visibility for the center, as this location is considered one of the most prominent shopping areas in Belgrade, making the center interested not only for local customers, but also for regional visitors traveling from southern to central and eastern Europe.
