Amendments and supplements to Property Tax Law adopted

Serbian MPs adopted amendments and supplements to the Property Tax Law, which stipulate the integration of the fee for using building land into the property tax.

A total of 129 MPs were in favor of these amendments and supplements, whereas 61 members of parliament were against them.

The aim of these amendments is to integrate the fee for using building land, which will be abolished 1 January 2014, into the property tax.

These amendments also stipulate an equal treatment when doing the valuation of tax base regardless of whether the property is owned by a physical or a juristic person.
