Ada Ciganlija marina still pending approval - Parking Servis completes preliminary designs, city government on the move
(the future appearance)
Construction of a marina at Ada Ciganlija that would provide sailors in Belgrade with over 1,000 berths for their vessels is still pending approval from the city, the daily Novosti reports.
The future "nautical pearl" of Belgrade, which eKapija wrote about few years ago, is still in the fog.
Parking Servis Assistant General Manager Biljana Vlajiv told Novosti last weekend that preliminary designs for that facility were finished.
- Parking Servis is managing the work on technical documentation for future Ada Ciganlija marina in the Cukarica armlet. Preliminary designs are completed and divided into several functional units as per purpose and location - said Vlajic.
Ada Ciganlija marina is planned to be built downstream from the mouth of the Topciderska River and Jugopetrol's pier in the Cukarica armlet. The location designated for the Ada Ciganlija marina covers a surface area of 14.16 hectares with 54 percent (about 7.6 ha) covered by water and 46 percent (6.56 ha) by land.
(Hangar) The plan is to carry out construction in three phases. Upon the completion of the last phase, Ada Ciganlija marina would get a projected capacity of 600 berths for vessels of all categories up to 18 meters long on the water and 430 berths on the land, 70 of which would be situated in an indoor hangar.
- Completion of technical documentation and the very construction and design of the complex depend on the decision of the City of Belgrade and competent institutions - said people at Parking Servis.
