Whisper of wines from Fruska Gora - Slankamen gets winery and boutique hotel in spring 2014

As people at Townhouse 27 told eKapija, their new partner facility - a specific tourist complex for all nature lovers, will most likely be opened in the spring 2014.

- We had the first small harvest last year, and our first wine is now maturing. The hotel in Slankamen is not open yet, the winery legalization process is still underway, and the weather won`t allow us to open the complex before March 2014.

Townhouse 27 picked this location because of fertile land and the vicinity of the Danube River. They believe that they have found a key to success.

White and red grape varieties are currently grown on an area of 8 hectares. The plan for the next year is to expand vineyards to a total of 10 hectares.

30,000 bottles a year

People at Townhouse 27 say that they aim to make top-quality wine, which is why they have brought together eminent experts on every segment of production and equipped the winery with cutting-edge technology, but kept certain traditional methods.

- If everything goes as planned, more than 30,000 bottles of wine will come out of the winery every year – people at Townhouse 27 said and added that they were supplied with seedlings by the world`s largest manufacturer of vine seedlings - Vivai Cooperativi Rauscedo with the headquarters in Rauscedo, Italy.

Although Townhouse 27 diversifies into winemaking, aforementioned hotel and restaurant will keep the company in its core business. The small boutique hotel within the winery comprises 2 suites and 4 luxuriously furnished rooms with a view of vineyards and the Danube, while the restaurant is perfect for private parties and corporate events.

In order to attract guests, Townhouse 27 plans to have new facilities built in the near future.
