Societe Generale to build another headquarters building in Novi Beograd – A total of EUR 14,5 mil will be invested in the facility with mini electrical plant and electrical cars chargers

(The future look of the new business building) Representatives of Societe Generale bank Serbia have signed today a contract with IMEL group on the construction of the new business building where EUR 14,5 mil (some RSD 1,7 billion) will be invested.

The President of the Executive Board, Frederick Kuen and the General Manager of IMEL group, Mirko Urosevic signed the contract.

Kuen said this is a large project which proves that Societe Generale bank came to stay and that it thinks in the long run, planning to grow again in Serbia.

The facility which will be built on the exclusive location on only 3 km far from the city center of Belgrade and near the Administration building of Societe Generale bank, will have six levels, an underground garage, a roof terrace and will occupy 10.612 m2. Designed building capacity is some 650 positions and the facility will have a training center with multimedia and multifunctional facilities which can host 150 people.

As Kuen outlined today, 80% of capacities will be filled immediately because the staff who currently work in smaller building premises which the bank has outside the Administration building will be moved here. The remaining 20% of space is planned for the new staff who, they hope, they will have I the next years.

Smart building with mini electric power plant

This modern building of A class will be built in the Boulevard Zoran Djindjic, near Beogradska Arena, in the business center of Novi Beograd. More precisely, the new building will be near the existing one.

New "smart building" of the Societe Generale bank, is designed as a modern facility, projected in line with the latest world architecture trends. As they in Societe Generale bank say, the bank put efforts to build the office space in line with high standards and values of mother company but also in line with the global environmental standards. This particularly means that they planned to install a mini electric power plant for electricity production as well as a parking with solar chargers for electricity-driven vehicles which will be available for all citizens who live near the business building.

Apart from that, all systems will be integrated in BMS (Building Management System) so that the working conditions quality would improve and that significant savings in electricity consumption, electrical and heat as well as drinking water consumption. The new building will have a special system for rain recuperation which will be used for technical needs of the building instead of drinking water.

The construction is planned to start late this summer and the planned deadline for the completion is in the first quarter 2016. IMEL group is in charge both for the project and construction works. The fact that this company built the existing building of Societe Generale bank proves the team is trusted one.
