"Delta" started construction of distribution center in Stara Pazova valued at EUR 10.2 million – Facility in Stara Pazova to employ 400 workers
President of "Delta Holding" Miroslav Miskovic and president of Stara Pazova municipality Djordje Radinovic laid a cornerstone.
As Dejan Jeremic an Executive Vice President of Operations at Delta Holding said to the press, the operation center will be finished by the end of January 2015 and will employ 400 young people.
15,000 consumers across Serbia, together with chain stores "Delhaize" and "Idea", will be supplied with goods from this distribution center.
The center is being built on 10 hectare lot, and will occupy 20,000 square meters at first stage. There is a possibility for the second stage of construction to be commenced in 2015, with additional 14,500 m2 of storage.
Djordje Radinovic expressed his satisfaction that a domestic company invests in Stara Pazova, where a number of foreign investors already operate.
300-hectare industrial zone where "Delta’s" building is located is planned to be used as distribution and logistics center. There will be center of "Delhaize" company, while in autumn Austrian company "Eyemaxx" commences its construction, as well.
According to Radinovic, basic success of Star Pazova is fast issuing of building permits – in 30-day time, and a vicinity to two highways: Belgrade-Subotica and Belgrade-Zagreb.
New distribution center, an investment of "Delta Realestate", will be a part of "Delta transport system" which deals with logistics and transport services.
This center in Stara Pazova will have 26,000 pallet places and 30 loading ramps, writes the official site of Stara Pazova municipality.
