MALI: Spatial Plan for Belgrade Waterfront in September
Belgrade Mayor, Sinisa Mali, announced today that the spatial plan for the Sava amphitheater, for building residential and commercial complex Belgrade waterfront, will be finished and presented in September.
- From 1 August, they are going to start more actively to solve property problems, and remove illegal structures from the site of the Sava amphitheater - said Mali at the reception in Belgrade Assembly for the representatives of the companies that participated in the reconstruction of the Belgrade Cooperative Building.
As he pointed out, so far they have removed 13 miles of track in the area of about 90 hectares and four buildings, and it is expected removal of additional three buildings.
Mali has announced meetings for today and tomorrow with representatives of the company "Eagle Hills" from the United Arab Emirates, which plans to invest between 3 and 4 million EUR into Belgrade waterfront. The meeting will be dedicated to planning and zoning documents.
- We are doing everything necessary for the beginning of the construction of the Belgrade waterfront in spring 2015, as planned - said Mayor of Belgrade.
According to him, the preparation of planning documents is taking its course and "everything is under control".
Mali said that one of the priorities of government in Belgrade and Serbia is Belgrade construction project in which it will be built about 1.8 million square meters of commercial, cultural, corporate and residential space.
He thanked the representatives of 13 Serbian construction companies, whose more than 300 people worked on the restructuring of Belgrade Cooperative Building at the Sava amphitheater, where the scale model of Belgrade waterfront project is located.
- You made effort to finish the job in record time and in a quality manner - said Mali and it showed that Serbia has got a construction industry that is able to quickly and efficiently do its job and thus meet the requirements of investors.
He added that the city's institutions issued the necessary permits in the shortest deadline and that such model of work is the only one that can allow progress.
- We will strive to maintain the same level of efficiency - said Mali, adding that the in the last month the reconstructed building of Belgrade Cooperative was visited by more than 20,000 people who want to learn more about the project Belgrade waterfront.
