Novi Sad's OrganicNet to present Serbia at Slush conference in Helsinki
As the winner of the Slush 2016 competition, Novi Sad's OrganicNet will be presenting Serbia at the international startup conference bringing together companies from around the world, to be held in late 2016 in Helsinki. The winning teams are provided with an opportunity to present their ideas to potential investors, but also to work with selected mentors on the further development of their businesses.
Organic Net is an intercompany startup managed by Novi Sad's Eton Digital. It offers a wide array of organic fruit and vegetables that can be ordered directly online. The development of the service has been supported by the European Union as well, through a grant in the amount of EUR 134,000 meant for stimulating the agriculture.
The local startup is heading for Helsinki as the winner of the local Slush 2016 competition organized by the Finnish Innovation Fund and the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Finland. As the winner at the Serbian competition, OrganicNet will be presenting the country at the conference attended by teams from 20 other countries, among which are Brazil, China, India, Mexico, South Africa, Nepal and Pakistan.
Startups competed to qualify for the Impact Accelerator program organized by the Slush conference, which provides them with an opportunity to work with mentors and experts, improve their skills and knowledge and connect with potential partners and investors.
The Slush conference gathers several thousand visitors from around the world each year.
OrganicNet says that this year's competition focused on presenting projects and ideas offering original and sustainable solutions for burning global issues, thereby contributing to the improvement of the way of living and environmental protection. The Novi Sad team will have the opportunity to work with mentors and pitch their ideas to investors from November 22 till December 2, 2016, as part of the Impact Accelerator program, held alongside the Slush conference.
