Application for Startup Accelerator by September 15 – French support to development of new business ideas

The French-Serbian Chamber of Commerce once again invites all startups and individuals looking to launch a startup to apply for the program of free year-long mentoring Startup Accelerator. In order to enable as many startups as possible to apply for the program, the Chamber has extended the application deadline until September 15.

The French-Serbian Chamber of Commerce (CCIFS) realized the program last year, when two startups were picked through the contest – Car:Go, a mobile app for ordering manned car transport, and PetGuards, an online pet sitting platform. Over the course of the past year, the founders of these two startups were advised by the directors of some of the biggest French companies in Serbia, and they were provided with mentorship in all aspects of a business: legal, marketing, financial etc. They were also given a membership in the Chamber, which has allowed them expand their contact network. The startups have thereby also increased their visibility, increased the number of clients and expanded the pool of associates.

This year as well, up to three startups or three teams will be selected and receive free advisory services of the members of the Managing Board of CCIFS, the directors of some of the biggest French and Serbian companies operating in Serbia, over the next year, all to the end of using their expertise, experience, contacts and ideas to help the companies develop their business. The Managing Board consists of 11 directors of French and Serbian companies, the leading people in companies such as Schneider Electric, Crédit Agricole, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Marić-Mališić-Dostanić Law Office and others. The selected startups will automatically win free one-year membership in the Chamber.

Startups founded no longer than a year ago, as well as entrepreneurs of up to 40 years of age and with residence in Serbia, are eligible for the Startup Accelerator. Teams of up to three people with no more than one foreign resident may also apply. The contest is open for projects in all industries, but it is advisable for them to involve digital technologies in some capacity and be oriented to the global market if possible. Application is carried out by filling out a questionnaire at www.ccfs.rs by September 15, 2018.
