The Embassy of Israel, the Health Tech Lab and the Friedrich Neumann foundation are organizing Start JLM, a tournament for startups from Serbia and Montenegro. The application deadline is October 8. The final will be held on October 20 within the Smart City Festival, at the Belgrade Youth Center.

This year's tournament is dedicated to innovations in healthcare – “med tech”, as well as biotechnology, and the project aims to motivate the startup community to enhance health protection with innovative products, offer new solutions to certain health problems and facilitate access to health services. The tournament, which is held in Serbia for the fifth time, is a joint initiative of the Municipality of Jerusalem, the Hebrew University and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Israel.

The winners will have the opportunity to visit Jerusalem for several days and meet with the leading Israeli entrepreneurs, business angels and representatives of technological incubators and learn about the way that top quality startup ecosystems operate in the world.

Everyone interested may apply their startup, and in order to apply, startups need to present innovative projects in the field of medtech and biotech and to have their products and concepts pertain to med tech and biotechnological innovations.
