Amazon Ready to Invest in Startup Ecosystem in Serbia
Amazon is ready to invest in the startup ecosystem in Serbia. We are open to your needs and ready to meet everything you want to work on – said the representative of Amazon, Tomasz Olejnik, who also noted that the company, in cooperation with the government, wants to select a group of startup companies that will contribute to the development of society in Serbia.
According to him, that group of startup companies would connect with established partners on a global level, because the aim is for promising startups projects to stand out globally as well, it is said on the website of the Government of Serbia.
Olejnik added that the company is ready to invest in the improvement of the skills of Serbian experts, so that they would get expanded certified knowledge.
Olejnik said that this company wants to share its resources and knowledge, because in Serbia, as he assessed, there are many opportunities for improving science and technology.
Minister of Science, Technological Development and Innovation Jelena Begovic pointed out the importance of the BIO4 campus construction project for the development of science and technology in Serbia, as well as the importance of interdisciplinarity between biosciences, the IT sector and innovations in artificial intelligence.
– Serbia is a country with a limited number of researchers – underlined the minister and emphasized that the focus is now on expanding this ecosystem and concentrating all its segments in one place, which represents the center around which biotechnology, the IT sector and artificial intelligence gravitate.
