Contest for Katapult Program for Financial Support to Startups Opened Until October 16 – Up to EUR 300,000 in Grants

The innovation Fund, with the support of the Ministry of Science, Technological Development and Innovations, the World Bank and the European Union, has launched the third Katapult public invitation to innovative startups which need financial and mentoring support for reaching their full potential and conquering the global market.

This accelerator provides a unique opportunity to ambitious teams to realize their business visions and acquire the necessary resources and knowledge for success, announced the EU Delegation to Serbia.

The Fund supports applications from all fields of science and technology for taking part in the program, and the deadline for application through the Katapult portal is October 16, 2023, at 1 pm.

Grants of EUR 20,000 (for the Ideation category) to EUR 50,000 (for the Scale-Up category) are available to startups. Additionally, those who secure a qualified investment within nine months of the completion of the acceleration stand to receive additional funds of up to EUR 300,000 in grants.

Also, mentoring and advising, a network of investors, education programs, exchange of experiences and corporate partnership are available.

The funds for the realization of the Katapult program are secured based on the joint investment of the Republic of Serbia (Ministry of Science, Technological Development and Innovations) through a loan and technical support of the World Bank of EUR 7.7 million and non-refundable financial support of the European Union of EUR 10 million.

The Katapult program is part of “The Project of Acceleration of Innovations and Inciting the Growth of Entrepreneurship in the Republic of Serbia,” which is dedicated to strengthening innovative entrepreneurship and scientific research.
