IKEA in April to get construction permit for construction of department store in Belgrade

Swedish company IKEA will get location and construction permit in April for the construction of department store in Belgrade, minister of construction of Serbia, Zorana Mihajlovic, said on Friday, March 27, 2015- it was published at the website of the Government of Serbia.

Memorandum of understanding between the Government of Serbia, the City of Belgrade and IKEA was signed October 3, 2014, and as it was announced then, the first department store of Swedish IKEA should open in late 2016.

Mihajlovic then said IKEA is planning to invest EUR 300 m in construction of five department stores in Serbia, the first of which will be in Belgrade, Bubanj potok and will have 300 employees.
