Medvedja Gets Prison - the Chance to Work for a Hundred People

At the beginning of next year Medvedja will get prison. Although it seems strange, that here truly rejoice, because the job will get a hundred people. Construction of the prison is, in fact, the only significant investment that is in the national mixed environment implemented. Funds are provided, the location specific and only awaiting installation of the foundation stone, also the first after many years.

Another good news is that officially started to work Faculty of Law and Economic Faculty University of Nis. These are the first institution of higher education in this area for which they were interested in opening, not only by international donors, but the Ministry of Education and local governments. In these schools the instruction is organized in the Serbian and Albanian language, which is a fact worth mentioning.

- For our underdeveloped environment is very important to open these faculties, because the young people, especially the poor and talented students from this region will be able to educate, and hopefully will stay here to live, work and contribute to faster economic troubles with the overcoming of which encountered for decades - said Mr. Slobodan Draskovic, the mayor of Medvedja
