Elixir Zorka to Expand Complex for Production of Mineral Fertilizers in Sabac – Construction of Bulk Product Hall on 5,470 m2 Planned

The factory Elixir Zorka Mineralna Djubriva plans to build a bulk product hall within the existing complex of the factory of mineral fertilizers in Sabac.

The company has submitted to the Ministry of Environmental Protection the request for deciding on the necessity of the environmental impact assessment for this project, which also entails the reconstruction of the existing factory for the production of mineral fertilizers.

According to the technical description of the project, the parcels on which the construction and the reconstruction are planned within this project are encompassed by the Amendments to the Detailed Regulation Plan of Zorka – Business Zone East in Sabac.

The bulk product hall is designed as a ground-floor facility northeast of the mineral fertilizer factory, on an area of 5,470 m2. The process of the resting of the finished product (temporary storage of the bulk goods), that is, the mineral fertilizer that is produced at the factory, will be done in the new facility. A steel transporter is planned for the transporting of the finished product, bulk goods, from the factory to the new facility. The plan is for the bulk goods to be transported to the hall and poured into compartments, from where it is then transported by trucks to be packed. When it comes to the reconstruction of the factory building, only changes on the façade wall are planned in the granulate storage part, in the sense of forming an opening for vehicle access for the purpose of establishing a connection with the bulk products hall, and an opening for the transporter. The planned works will not have an impact on the purpose or the dimensions of the facility, the documentation says.
