In the first 11 months of last year, a total of 3.5 million tourists were recorded in Serbia, or 53.9% more than in the same period of 2021, and around a million of them visited Belgrade. The region also recorded a success. Montenegro had a season above all expectations, whereas Bosnia and Herzegovina was visited in even greater numbers primarily by foreign tourists.
The most popular Serbian destinations in 2022 were Belgrade, Kopaonik, Zlatibor, Vrnjacka Banja, Subotica, Tara and Sokobanja. The tourists were also choosing Vrdnik, Lukovska Banja and Divcibare. This season will be just as successful, judging by how fast the vacation vouchers sold.
The last year’s success of the Serbia tourism was also helped by a large number of organized business meetings. Our country is among the 50 leading countries in the world when it comes to congress tourism, currently placing 47th, according to the data of the Tourism Organization of Serbia (TOS).
When it comes to the pearls of the region, Montenegro has its seaside, but also its beautiful mountains. There’s Kolasin, Bar with its area, Boka with its luxury settlements, Budva, which has been considered the capital of tourism for years now, Zabljak/Durmitor, as well as the increasingly popular rural tourism.
Jahorina is the backbone of the tourism of Bosnia and Herzegovina, but Neum is right there as well, and was especially attractive during the coronavirus pandemic. Other always popular locations are Trebinje, Visegrad with Andricgrad, Sarajevo, national parks – Kozara, Una, Foca, rafting on the Vrbas and the Neretva.
It is precisely thanks to the beauty of these and other pearls of the region that we are presenting our Special Edition Newsletter “Tourism – From Business to Pleasure with a Wealth of Choice”.
In it, we will present the potentials of the region through various prisms. We will talk about the business segment – trends and projections, as well as the concrete offer when it comes to congresses, seminars, fairs. We will present the current attractive offer, point to how it is possible to combine the best of both worlds through spa and health tourism, as well as through team building, but also give suggestion as to where you can enjoy a hedonistic experience.
The Special Edition Newsletter “Tourism – From Business to Pleasure with a Wealth of Choice” is an ideal place to recommend your company, services or products which can contribute to improving this field.
