Average Salary in December RSD 84,227 – Lower by 1.9% in Real Terms Compared to Previous Year

Average gross salaries and wages calculated for December 2022 amounted to RSD 115,315, while average net salaries and wages amounted to RSD 84,227.

Increase of gross salaries and wages and net salaries and wages in the period January–December 2022, relative to the same period last year amounted to 13.8% in nominal terms, i.e. 1.7% in real terms.

Compared with the same month last year, average gross salaries and wages for December 2022 increased by 12.8% in nominal terms, and decreased by 2.0% in real terms, while average net salaries and wages increased by 12.9% in nominal terms and decreased by 1.9% in real terms, according to the website of the Statistical Office of the Republic of Serbia.

Median net salaries and wages for December 2022 amounted to RSD 60,413, meaning that 50% of employees realized wages and salaries up to the mentioned amount.
