Thai cuisine, which is among top cuisines in the world, is the product of traditional eastern and increasingly loud western culinary influence. It is light, with high nutritional value, and dishes are easy to prepare, but what is necessary is to know and understand the main rules for mixing ingredients and combining flavors.
The secret of excellent taste, texture and color of Thai specialties lies in the selection and combination of fresh ingredients - vegetables, fruits and spices. The main ingredients of this exotic cuisine are chili peppers, garlic, coriander, Thai basil, lime, mint, lemon grass, galangal, tamarind and curry (the most famous are red, green and yellow – massaman curry), as well as rice (glass noodles), coconut, banana, pineapple, papaya, mango, peanuts, meat, squids, shrimps and sea fruits.
Unique Thai dips give food unique flavor and regulate the warmth of a dish. The salty flavor of brown fish dip (Nam Pla), made of crustaceans and smaller fish, can be recognized in almost all dishes, except in those sweet ones.
People from Thailand strive to make a harmony between yin and yang groceries when preparing a dish. Yang groceries awaken the feeling of warmth, accelerate the pulse and the exchange of matters in the organism (chili, ginger, galangal, lemon grass), while mild yin groceries cool the food.
"People of Thailand are specific because they eat whenever they are hungry. They are also famous for their approach to food because they respect and worship it. When preparing food, Thai people stick to the mantra - Who does not eat with his eyes will not eat with his teeth either, which is why they pay special attention to the visual experience of food", chefs at Hyatt hotel explain.
All visitors of the restaurant in Hyatt hotel will have the unique chance to try authentic Thai specialties in Belgrade until April 15. The price of dinner per person is RSD 2,900.
