The PE Roads of Serbia has opened the tender for the preparation of the preliminary design with a feasibility study of the highway E-70, section Pancevo-Vrsac-Romanian border.

The spatial plan of the special-purpose area of this section shows the route of this future shortest connection with Romania, which has been announced for over 15 years now, but without details of the highway profile.

The PE Roads of Serbia has now provided these data within the tendering documentation: the highway through South Banat will have 4 lanes of 3.75 meters each, shoulders of 2.5 m each, pullouts of a total of 3 m and a median strip of 3 m, as well as grass verges of 1.5 meters each.

The estimated speed is 130 km per hour.

The length of the planned highway from Pancevo to the Romanian border would amount to around 65 km.

The job is estimated at RSD 180 million.

The tender is open until December 20, and more details (in Serbian) can be found HERE.

The route of the highway can be seen HERE.
