Lake Palic to Get Floating Pool by End-Year (PHOTO)

Within the Government of Serbia’s plan “Leap into the Future – Serbia 2027”, the construction of a floating pool on Lake Palic is planned.

As said, the construction deadline is December 2024.

This is the project that was announced in the summer of 2022 by the then president of the Assembly of the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina, Istvan Pasztor, now deceased.

While visiting the works on the construction of the aqua park in Palic, he made the proposition of the installation of a pool within Lake Palic.

That, as he said, would enable the citizens to swim in Lake Palic, while avoiding bacteriologically unsafe water, Subotica.com reported at the time.

– That is technologically possible. The water in that pool would be cleaner than lake water. We will see if that can be implemented in Lake Palic. We are also working on having experts examine the treatment of the total mass. Draining the lake is not the solution. We should look for other options, which, on one hand, will protect people’s health, and on the other hand, enable the use of the potentials and be economical – Pasztor said at the time.
