Free Zone Novi Sad to expand to area of municipality of Indjija

The members of the Municipal Council of Indjija have accepted the Decision on the initiative to expand the Free Zone Novi Sad to the area of the municipality of Indjija. At the initiative of the president of the municipality, Marko Gasic, the decision to abandon entering a public-private partnership in order to form the customs unit Indjija and the Free Zone in Indjija has been adopted as well.

The Municipality of Indjija was contacted by the company JFE Shoji Srbija with a letter of intent expressing an interest in operating within the free zone, on the cadaster parcel on which this company is a building a factory in Indjija.

– The expansion of the Free Zone Novi Sad to the area of the municipality of Indjija aims to create the conditions for the strengthening of the existing investments and the attracting of new ones, the increase of the scope of the production of goods and the stepping up of employment, with the ultimate goal of increasing the competitiveness and the economic development of the municipality of Indjija – says the explanation of the Decision, among other things.
