Construction of camping and glamping accommodation capacities near spas in Serbia planned

At a meeting at the Chamber of Commerce of Serbia (CCIS), it was agreed to start the procedure of raising camping sites near spas in Serbia, which would enable older European and world tourists to stay at spa and rehabilitation centers in the country and provide them with additional health care and services, the CCIS announced.

– This way, with adequate tourism promotion, a higher number of overnight stays could be realized at camps, camping sites and campgrounds, which would also increase non-board consumption, because the fact is that campers belong in a group of tourists with high non-board consumption – the press release says.

The Association for Tourism of the CCIS, in cooperation with its members, will provide strong support to the development of camping and glamping accommodation capacities in other zones as well, such as mountain tourism centers, rivers and lakes, special nature reserves and national parks, as well as rural tourist households where camping has special comparative advantages, it is added.
