The price of the additional quantities is EUR 377 per a thousand cubic meters, whereas the market price as of November 2 is at the level of EUR 410 per thousand cubic meters.
The PE Srbijagas got a special flexibility for withdrawing the gas this year as well, that is, it will all depend on the needs of the Republic of Serbia at any given moment. With the use of the underground gas storage facility Banatski Dvor and additional quantities of gas stored in Hungary, which was paid for in advance and stored during the summer period, Srbijagas is ready for the upcoming winter season.
The CEO of Srbijagas, Dusan Bajatovic, pointed out recently that Serbia would have enough of this energy source, even if there were several below-zero periods in the upcoming winter. He added that, due to Ukraine’s announcement that it would not extend the agreement on the transit of gas with Russia, set to expire on December 31, the most difficult thing to resolve had been the problem of transport of gas and that now everybody was going for TurkStream, but said that Srbijagas and Gazprom controlled the situation.
