Sremska Mitrovica-based Agrum buys Banat Seme for RSD 155 million

Banat Seme's board of creditors has accepted the offer of Sremska Mitrovica-based Agrium to buy the property of the Zrenjanin-based seeds company in bankruptcy for RSD 155 million, Banat Seme Bankruptcy Manager Dragan Bozic confirmed to Tanjug news agency on Friday (11 January 2013).

Agrium was the sole bidder for the property of the bankrupted debtor Banat Seme, the value of which is estimated at RSD 533 million.

Since the board of creditors decided to accept the offer, the two companies now wait for the green light from the Commission for the Protection of Competition to sign the sales agreement, after which Agrium would pay aforementioned RSD 155 million to Banat Seme.
