Serbian Railways to sign valuable agreement to transport Chinese goods - Chinese companies paying EUR 6,000 per train

Serbian Railways will soon sign an agreement with Greek, Macedonian, Hungarian and Czech railway companies to transport large quantities of Chinese goods from the Port of Piraeus to Czech Republic, Serbian Railways CEO Dragoljub Simonovic announced.

As he stressed in a statement to Tanjug news agency, this will bring significant revenues considering that up to 20 trains will operate every day.

- The Chinese are willing to pay EUR 6,000 per train - said Simonovic.

He hopes that the documentation for this deal will be signed by the year's end, after which the transport of goods could kick off. However, this mainly depends on the representatives of Greek Railways.

According to him, the transport of goods from Greece to Czech Republic will be carried in a similar way the Kargo 10 company (the joint venture of Serbian, Croatian and Slovenian railway companies) was conceived. Kargo 10 will soon be established to increase the transport of goods on Rail Corridor X.
