We spoke with the director, Stefan Savic, about the importance of the hotel, its offer, as well as the planned investments.

– After two years of successful business, Hotel Sunce, the pride of Sokobanja, announces the expansion of its capacity for the upcoming summer season. The plan is to open an annex with 31 modernly equipped and comfortable accommodation units. Due to the increasing interest of domestic and foreign guests, there was a need to increase the number of accommodation units. The hotel`s offer in the new season will include 155 rooms and suites intended for guests with refined taste and the need for a high-class hotel, equipped according to the most modern standards. The young team of designers from Naos Studio from Cacak is responsible for the design of new accommodation units and restaurants.

eKapija: Can we expect novelties when it comes to the restaurant offer?

– The increase in the number of accommodation units is accompanied by the expansion of the restaurant`s capacity, so guests of the Sunce Hotel will be able to enjoy the new full board restaurant with a view of the city park and the Moravica River. The idea of ​​our gastronomic team is to revive somewhat forgotten foods specific to the Sokobanja area with the help of modern food preparation technology and to present dishes in a unique and modern way.

The attractive food offer is accompanied by a rich wine list, which is based on wines from Serbia, with a special emphasis on the premium offer of wines from Eastern Serbia. Our team pays special attention to the needs and requests for a characteristic diet, so you can find gluten-free, vegetarian, vegan and other specific meals at the request of the guest.

eKapija: Special emphasis is placed on the wellness and spa program. How attractive is it to visitors and is it open to those who are not staying at the hotel?

– The unique Wellness&Spa center is the core and light of the Sunce Hotel. It covers an area of ​​1,300 m2 and offers guests a large selection of different features The offer includes two indoor pools with hydromassages, one outdoor and a children`s pool.

Other facilities include a salt room, three types of sauna (Finnish, bio, soft), steam bath, caldarium, hydromassage tub, tropical shower, draft bucket, cold room, relaxation room with tepidariums, surprise tunnel, gym, massage rooms.

The holistic concept of our Wellness&Spa center was created according to the world`s leading standards. With its diverse offer and pleasant ambience, it attracts an increasing number of tourists who come from the surrounding cities for a day`s rest and relaxation from everyday duties.

eKapija: Sunce Hotel is a congress center as well. What is offered in that regard?

– In addition to providing the opportunity to rest the mind and body, the Sunce hotel has also become a base for holding corporate events in southeastern Serbia. Two halls with a capacity of 110 people each, food from the southeastern region and the possibility of organizing additional activities with the support of the sales team, attracted numerous pharmaceutical and IT companies, non-governmental organizations, companies from the country and abroad in the organization of seminars, congresses and smaller team building events.

During two years of work, the need to expand the congress space arose, so the construction of a multi-functional hall with a larger capacity is the plan for the next phase of construction.

eKapija: How do you see the development of the hotel in the future and what are your plans?

As an ecologically oriented company, by wanting to achieve a positive impact on people, the economy and the environment, the Sunce hotel develops its business through promoting the goals of sustainable development: from environmental protection, heating and cooling of the building with completely ecological systems, through optimization of energy efficiency to the highest safety and health at work. The hotel is extremely committed to a pleasant working atmosphere and employee satisfaction.

In addition to the announced investments in accommodation facilities, investment in employees through professional trainings and personal development workshops proved to be a very significant investment, as the Sunce Hotel team became recognizable for its superior service. Most of the employees are from Sokobanja and its surroundings, so the spontaneous friendliness and homely atmosphere have become the main feature that sets the Sunce hotel apart on the market.
