Belgrade Development Plan Until 2030 Envisages Seven New Bridges, Two Tunnels and Two Subway Lines

The Belgrade Development Plan Until 2030 envisages the construction of seven new bridges, two tunnels and two subway lines, stated the deputy mayor of Belgrade, Goran Vesic.

– By then, Belgrade will have 42 kilometers of a subway system. Two new tunnels will be built: Karadjordjeva Street-Pancevo Bridge and the Topcider Tunnel. All the vehicles will be environmentally friendly, that is, none of them will use fossil fuels. Also, a new Belgrade railway system will be established, with 235 kilometers of a suburban railway. This will enable all subway municipalities to be connected by rail with the city center in 10 minutes at peak traffic – Vesic said on RTS.

He announced the reconstruction of the plaza in front of Hotel Moskva, the construction of 40 new kindergartens, 110 parks, 150 kilometers of bicycle lanes and seven new bridges.

– The plan envisages for nine out of ten houses in the capital of Belgrade to be connected to the sewer system by 2030. The same plan envisages the construction of seven new bridges. The Ada Huja Bridge, the bridge near Vinca, the new Sava bridge, two bridges in the service of BG Voz, as well as pedestrian-cycling bridges which will connect Ada Ciganlija and New Belgrade, as well as Zemun and Lido – announced Vesic, as reported by Beoinfo.
